WWTP PAA FEED SYSTEM PROJECT SPECIFIC BID CONDITIONS & SPECIFICATIONS PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project includes the addition of a two pump PAA chemical feed system along with required service and control wiring. LAYOUT The awarded contractor will be responsible for layout of the tank and feed system from the tanks to the pumps. DEMOLITION Any waste materials (concrete, soil, etc) can be dumped on the adjacent City property. Entrance is from Blackjack Road. CONCRETE MATERIALS AND LABOR Concrete retaining containment will be in place prior to commencing this project. PERISTALTIC METERING PUMP SKID SYSTEM The dual pump skid should not exceed the dimensions of 48" wide, 50" tall, 26" in depth. A skid should be made of composite Polypropylene and consist of all stainless steel tubing, valves, and fittings chemically compatible with Peracetic Acid. The skid should have ½" NPT SS discharge and ½" Compression suction fittings, along with, a 1000mL Borosilicate Calibration Column for pump calibrations. The skid will contain a GFCI dual outlet capable of 110V and an enclosed NEMA 4X data box including 4-20mA outputs, relays, and remote connections with the plant SCADA system. Pumps shall be QDOS 60 Universal pumps with ReNu pumpheads and shall have flow rates of 0.1 to 1000 ml/min at 100 psi. The QDOS shall be capable of flow control, run in a manual, analog or contact mode,and have selfpriming capability. The accepted bidder shall provide 1 year of maintenance items for both pumps to include the ReNu pumpheads. DUAL TOTE SECONDARY CONTAINMENT SYSTEM The dual tote containment system shall be a molded HDPE and formed into one piece and capable of holding 535 gallons on each side as secondary containment. This system will have a load capacity for 8,000 lbs per side and be no larger than 124.5" x 61.625" x 22". The system shall be safety yellow/black in color, capable of being moved with a forklift, SPCC compliant, and meet EPA 40 CFR 264.175. EYE WASH The eye wash must be or equal to Global Industrial Model # 708383. The eye wash and shower system shall be powder-coated steel, be safety yellow for easy visibility, and the eye wash and shower system shall be a combination unit. The eye wash shall have twin spray heads with flip-top dust covers and a push activation handle while the shower shall have a pull handle. The eye wash and shower system shall include the emergency sign and inspection tag for installation. The eye wash and shower system shall be installed in a manner to allow for tempered water from an on demand hot water heater. PUMP SKID CONTAINMENT Pump skid containment by or equal to Cary Company (see attached specification). 4-20 MP SCADA CONDUIT Conduit and mounts by others. %" PFTE LINE (TOTES TO PUMPS AND PUMPS TO INJECTOR) Bore through manhole concrete provided by others. Add EPDM rubber support and silicone watertight. Place 3 PFTE pipes in carrier and mark ends with various tape colors. INJECTION QUILL Injection quill to be Koflo QR-.5S or equal. Existing quill to be removed and re-threaded. TANKLESS WATER HEATER AND ENCLOSURE Water heater to be equal to ECCOTEMP 6GB (6 GPM) with weather enclosure. All exposed lines to be equipped with heat tape and sleeve insulation with clamp seals. PIPE CABLE TRAY Pipe tray to be ladder type x 2" wide 304 SST Pipe tray to be fastened to concrete each end with SST brackets at 3' centers (minimum three brackets per section). DRIVEWAY REPAIR Not in contract ELECTRIC CONDUIT All wiring to be in electrical conduit. Junction boxes and all necessary appurtenances are to be included. PAINT Paint to be Sherwin Williams MAGNALUX 2100FF or equal. Two coats are required.
