CONSTRUCTION PHASING – TWO LANE ROADWAYS PHASE IA Close one lane of traffic as shown in KYTC Standard drawing TTC-100 (Lane Closure Two-Lane Highway). Perform all work required to construct the data acquisition stations in the closed driving lane and adjacent shoulder. PHASE IB Reopen the lane previously constructed in Phase IA and close the remaining lane to traffic as shown in KYTC Standard drawing TTC-100 (Lane Closure Two-Lane Highway). Perform all work required to construct the data acquisition stations in the closed driving lane and adjacent shoulder. CONSTRUCTION PHASING – MULTI-LANE ROADWAYS PHASE I Close the inside driving lanes and shoulder to traffic as shown in KYTC Standard drawing TTC-115 (Lane Closure Multi-Lane Highway Case I). Perform all work required to construct the data acquisition stations in the inside driving lanes and shoulder. PHASE II Reopen the inside driving lanes and shoulder to traffic and close the outside driving lanes and shoulder as shown in KYTC Standard drawing TTC-115 (Lane Closure Multi-Lane Highway Case I). Perform all work required to construct the data acquisition stations in the outside driving lanes and shoulder. LANE/SHOULDER CLOSURES Limit the lengths of lane and shoulder closures to only that needed for actual operations in accordance with the phasing specified herein, or as directed by the Engineer. Any deviation from this scheme shall be approved by the Engineer. Contrary to section 112, lane and shoulder closures will NOT be measured for payment but are considered incidental to “Maintain and Control Traffic,” lump sum. COORDINATION OF WORK The Contractor is advised that other projects may be in progress within or in the near vicinity of this project. The traffic control of those projects may affect this project, and the traffic control of this project may affect those projects. The Contractor will coordinate the work on this project with the work of the other contractors. In case of conflict, the Engineer will determine the relative priority to give to work phasing on the various projects.
