Specifications include, but are not limited to: STAFFING NEEDS 4 foot patrol officers (1 in each of 4 zones) 1 supervisor on site covering all zones RESIDENCE HALLS COVERAGE The hours of shift coverage for all dorms will be 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. for all sites seven days a week. Requests for any changes in service dates and hours will be negotiated, when possible, seven days in advance of the start date with the appropriate staff within Housing and Residence Life. A. Fifty-two (52) week coverage: Four staff members will serve as a rover moving between the halls in their zone open to provide 1) 30 and 15 minute breaks to student staff as well as the ability to conduct a round through the facilities when requested. 2) In addition, 24 hour facility coverage will be required for three (3) 1-2 day staff training days (spring, fall, winter) with exact dates to be determined each year and national holidays including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. B. Proposal prices should reflect extra coverage for approximately ten (10) weeks with approximate dates of: 1) August 15-October 31 2) March 1-May 15 Extra coverage during these dates will consist of 1-2 additional foot patrol officers for 8 hours per day/night. C. Extra coverage may be requested for special University events as needed, i.e. athletic events. Contractor shall include a cost for these as requested services as a per guard, per hour price.
