Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is seeking proposals from qualified, financially sound, and responsible firms to provide an officially licensed bourbon partnership. This partnership will be geared toward providing a bourbon specific to Eastern Kentucky University and include an EKU Branding and Marketing approved logo. Eastern Kentucky University Brand Guide outlines the proper usage of EKU visual assets, including official colors, logos, wordmarks, seal, fonts, stationery, and secondary graphics. The Successful Offeror will be required to comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, orders, and regulations of federal, state and municipal governments, and of any and all of their departments, divisions, bureaus, and subdivisions, applicable to the alcohol laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Successful Offeror and University agree that the EKU approved, EKU-branded bourbon will be available sold, distributed, sampled, advertised, and promoted, in accordance with federal and state laws and University policies. • The University requires a single point of contact regarding all aspects of any resulting agreement. • Successful Offeror must be able to distribute bourbon and have experience working in retail markets. • All marketing and promotions will be the responsibility of the successful Offeror. The successful Offeror will be required to enter into a license agreement with the University’s Collegiate Licensing Partner. • EKU’s Bourbon Partner must agree to (i) create an EKU themed brand, (ii) pay licensing fee for the utilization of the EKU trademark (which may be based on a flat fee, volume or a combination). The bourbon partner must have the ability to and commit to distribute the EKU themed craft brand within Kentucky.
