This Invitation for Bid is to accept bids for the sale and demolition of various buildings/structures located at Grundy Farm, 636 Valley Hill Rd., Springfield, KY, by the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. Performance Specifications: All farm roads shall remain open to farm traffic at all times and deconstruction shall not interfere with farm operations - The site access hours will be from dawn to dusk Monday through Sunday. The site for each building is defined by the footprint of the building plus 40' around it. All operations will remain within the site boundaries. UK CAFE will provide ten (10) 40 yard roll off dumpsters for material disposal, emptied once at UK CAFÉ’s expense, on site via a separate pathway. Salvage operator shall provide material disposal means for anything additional. The site has no utilities (electricity, natural gas, or water) for use or serving any of the structures. The above grade structure is to be removed. All concrete foundations, slabs, and below grade concrete parts of the structure foundation are to remain undisturbed. Site is to be managed continuously to prevent wind-blown debris from moving offsite. Any offsite debris must be cleaned up by salvage operator including roadways during ingress/egress. - Site is to be magnet swept routinely along project boundaries with sweeping any paved/gravel areas daily. A final clean sweep shall be made to ensure no metal debris, fasteners, nails, etc remains after all materials have been removed. The materials salvage operation shall deconstruct the structure into transportable volume quantities and moved off site for final processing. No additional onsite de-nailing or material processing is allowed. Once demo starts, it must not stop or break until all materials are removed. The salvage operation shall be completed in not more than 120 calendar days.
