1. Sludge Production & Conveyance a. Conveyance & Load Time: Sludge cake is loaded into trailers via kid steer bucket loader. The approximate loading time per trailer is 10-20 minutes. b. Average Annual Volume (Wet Tons): 27,000 2. Pickup & Removal Requirements a. The Contractor will provide transportation from the NWWTP on a five (5) day per week basis. Normal sludge operation is Monday through Friday. The NWWTP Staff will coordinate specific daily and weekly scheduling of loads out of the plant. This typically ranges from 5-8 loads per day, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). c. The awarded vendor must commit the equipment and manpower required to move a minimum of 25-30 loads per week (625-750 tons). Should the vendor fail to maintain this availability, HWU may seek additional help to haul the sludge. If this happens, the awarded vendor will be notified 2 days in advance and will be responsible for the additional cost to HWU for using additional resources to maintain the minimum removal requirement of 625-750 tons per week.
