Specifications include, but are not limited to: The vendors will work with district staff, school staff, teachers, parents, students and community members using documents developed by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and research-based strategies to evaluate designated schools and districts. As a scholastic audit/leadership assessment team member the vendor will be responsible for (1) developing a thorough knowledge and understanding of the School/District Level Performance Descriptors for KentuckyÆs Standards and Indicators for School Improvement; (2) becoming familiar with all responsibilities related to assignment as determined by team chairperson; (3) conducting and maintaining documentation of observations and interviews; and (4) assisting with the writing of the report including findings, commendations, recommendations, executive summary and next steps. Team members work an average of six (6) days per audit/assessment. Vendors must be available to work most weeks from October through April. All team members must complete scholastic audit/leadership assessment training (2 - 4 days). Team chairperson will work up to 12 days per audit/assessment. This includes audit/assessment preparation days (2 days per audit/assessment), audit/assessment days (average 6 days per audit), after-action meeting with KDE staff and other school/district meetings as determined by KDE (1-4 days) per audit/assessment. Team chairperson will pay for the audit/assessment team work space at the hotel during the audit/assessment week and submit expense on travel voucher for reimbursement. The Kentucky Department of Education will reimburse vendor for meals, mileage and lodging for the duration of the scholastic audit/leadership assessment training and the on-site scholastic audit/leadership assessment in accordance with state guidelines. Contracts resulting from this Request for Proposal must comply with provisions of KRS 45A.695. Each retired team member will receive a daily stipend based on the individualÆs Daily Wage Threshold (DWT) as determined by the Kentucky Teacher Retirement System (KTRS) not to exceed $275 for each day of the audit/assessment and each day planning and/or delivering scholastic audit/leadership assessment training.
