Detailed specifications are listed below. All bidders are expected to meet or exceed all specifications. Any bidder submitting a bid, which does not meet or exceed the stated specifications is required to identify the specification which is not met, with an explanation for the exception on the “Bidders Exceptions, Conflicts and Clarifications”. RWRA reserves the right to consider any listed exception to determine if the exception is of a minor nature, and may be accepted, or if the exception is of such a serious nature that the bid will not be accepted. The transit mixed Portland cement concrete shall be delivered to certain Owensboro area construction sites. The supplier shall be prepared to deliver this material within a reasonable period of time (45-60 minutes) once an order has been placed. When an order is placed by the RWRA, supplier must deliver within the time period established, the RWRA reserves the right to either accept the alternative time or buy from an alternate supplier. Should other bidders be unable to deliver, the RWRA reserves the right to buy from any other source. In the event the low bidder declines to provide material for any given project, the RWRA reserves the right to continue with alternate suppliers until that project is completed. In the event of a work stoppage or other unforeseen activity interferes with either delivery or pickup of these materials, the RWRA reserves the right to obtain these materials from another source(s), during the time the interference continues. Likewise, should the supplier not deliver nor be able to deliver these materials within the time limits as herein prescribed, the RWRA reserves the right to obtain these materials from another source(s). Payments for such deliveries shall be made only to the supplier of these quantities. If, in the opinion of the RWRA, the low bidder declines an excessive number of deliveries the RWRA may at its discretion discontinue using the low bidder.
