1. Performs in-depth, nutritional assessments upon admission and quarterly, annually, and when a significant change occurs for the residents of EKVC. Maintains accurate documentation and tracking of resident’s medical nutritional therapy and nutritional risk e.g., weight loss, thickened liquids, wounds and feeding tubes. 2. Documents nutritional care plans and makes written evaluations and maintains a specific care plan for each resident updating to reflect ongoing changes of resident’s status. Plans and supervises the implementation or therapeutic diets and writes orders as prescribed by Physician. 3. Consults with other health care professionals for resident’s medical nutritional therapy. Participates in care plan meetings, resident care conferences, and committee meetings to address all nutritional concerns. 4. Interprets and ensures that the resident receives the recommended dietary requirements. 5. Assess the compliance of food service operations with all state and federal rules and regulations. 6. Dietician will be able to perform main kitchen inspections monthly and report results to Food Service Operations Manager and Administrator. 7. Dietician must approve and sign menus bi-annually and assess menus for nutritional adequacy. 8. Educate and trains residents, staff, and community on dietary and nutritional topics. 9. Performs other duties as required. 10. Vendor will be able to provide a Licensed/Registered Dietitian within seven (7) days of request from EKVC. EKVC will provide as much notice as possible when a Licensed/ Registered Dietitian is needed.
