The City of Frankfort, KY is looking to issue a contract for architecture/engineering and project manager services for the City of Frankfort, KY Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department. The IFB shall be provided in accordance with the stated specifications in Article IV TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS of this invitation. Successful firm / company(ies) or individual(s) shall be notified by the City’s Purchasing Agent. After said release date, delivery of services shall be made as expeditiously as possible. The scope of this IFB is to seek qualified and experienced companies or individuals who have extensive historic building exterior and foundation rehabilitation experience including, but not limited to, an expertise in historic stone and masonry work, historic urban building foundations, historic interior structural integrity and historic exterior windows. The company or individual would work as a consultant and Project Manger for the city to identify the historic building structural issues (internal and external), assist with writing the technical construction specifications for all structural issues found, assist with writing, soliciting and reviewing bids, overseeing any potential state or federal tax credit applications, and oversee the rehabilitation work from the projects beginning to end. The Capitol City Museum is located within a historic building in downtown Frankfort and the exterior, foundation and interior of the building is in need of repairs and rehabilitation for structural integrity as well as water infiltration. We are asking potential companies or individuals to provide bids with detailed information, scope, design, costs, and a breakdown of services to provide the services as stated in the technical specifications section of this IFB.
