Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Aluminum alloy 3105 according to ASTM B 209 latest version 2) The temper of the metal to be H22 specifically 15% elongations with ultimate tensile strength of 18 to 23ksi and yield strength of 14ksi minimum to allow for embossing cleanly with all steel dies at 3/32" depth and maintain proper plate flatness and stiffness. 3) Automobile coil stock to be 0.030" +/- .001" x 12-1/16" +/- 1/64" x coil. 4) The automobile coil stock to be 2,200 pounds maximum; 20" inner diameter with fiber core protector. 52" outside diameter; 4,000 pounds maximum skid weight. Skid runners to be 4"x 4" with top boards securely nailed for stacking and forklift handling. Coils and skids are to be individually marked to show PO Information, net weights, coil numbers, coating and production date. Each truckload must have a complete Bill of Lading, packing list and individual coil information. When multiple coils are stacked on a single skid, wood spacers must be used. Metal must be protected from the elements at all times and packaging must be appropriate to ensure the material is well protected until the skid is opened and the coil placed onto the plate , shop line decoiler. 5) Aluminum to be coated with a chrome free, EPA friendly and without health hazards, conversion coating approved by the major sheeting suppliers. 6) Vendor to provide technician on site assistance on short notice whenever the need arises to resolve metal and adhesion issues.
