Central Station : 1021 Carter Ave nue Central Station showers are in the following areas: 1. 2 nd floor Battalion Chief Quarters (1 unit) 2. 2 nd floor single restroom (1 unit) 3. 2 nd floor main restroom (3 units) The dimensions of each shower unit at this location are as follows: 34” in width, 34” in de pth, 8’ in height. Work shall include the removal of the current shower inserts, replacement of the plumbing valves and fixtures , and replacement utilizing a tile bed pan and tile walls . Walls shall be tiled to the ceiling level . All valve and drain locations will remain in the same positions they are currently in. A minimum of 3 corner shelves or built-in shelves shall also be provided in each unit . Tile color should match the existing tile found in each of the restrooms. Wall tile style shall be at a minimum of 4” x 4” and not exceed 12 ” x 24” . Floor tile style shall be a minimum of 2” x 2”, not to exceed 4” x 4” and provide slip resistance . During the work being completed at Central Station, two shower units shall always be in service and available at anytime . Station #2 : 4140 Winchester Ave nue Station 2 has one shower unit located in the restroom on the first floor . The dimensions of the shower unit are as follows: 5’ in width, 34” in depth, and 8’ in height. Work shall include removal of the current tile and glass shower unit, removal of the current tile bed pan , replacement of the plumbing valve and fixtures, construction of a 2” x 4” wall on the right side of the shower unit utilizing sheetrock finish on the exterior of the unit, construction of a sheetrock header wall 17” in height by 5’ in length on the front of the unit finished in sheetrock on the exterior of th e shower, replacement of the interior of the shower utilizing a tile bed pan and tile walls .
