The scope of work may include the inspection of facilities where podiatric services are performed for compliance with infectious disease control and other standards established by the Center for Disease Control, and will include the following: 1. Interview of complainants, licensees and witnesses. If requested by the Board, interviews shall be recorded and submitted with the investigation report. 2. Obtain and review documents, including medical, business, insurance and other records related to podiatry which are the subject of the complaints. 3. Inspect medical records, court records and documents, if applicable. 4. Inspect podiatry office locations for compliance with CDC and other guidelines, at the request of the Board. 5. Seek and gather facts and additional data necessary to establish the Board of Podiatry’s jurisdiction, when requested. 6. Preserve and store evidentiary items and materials, and maintain chain of custody. 7. Submit written investigative reports which identify the staff conducting the investigation, interview(s) and final report. 8. Compile case files to present to the Board and its subcommittee. 9. Work with Board Counsel on pending litigation, if requested. 10. Preparedness to provide testimony for administrative hearings. 11. Investigators must be able to interpret the licensure laws administered by the Kentucky Board of Podiatry, specifically but not limited to KRS Chapter 311.380 to 311.510 and 201 KAR Chapter 25.
