Assisting KCTCS in advancing priorities with federal partners including federal funding for education, research, workforce development and service; Providing timely information about and analysis of current and potential federal legislation and regulations that provide opportunities and threats to KCTCS’ mission; Supporting strategy development and execution thereof that increases federal competitive and formula funding to support KCTCS priorities and mission; Assisting KCTCS with educating federal officials about the impact of potential legislation and regulations; Assisting KCTCS with resolving federal government relations issues; Linking opportunities between other partners and KCTCS that leverage and build upon the system’s strengths; Providing broad-based representation in a bi-partisan manner with federal elected officials, agencies and affiliated entities; Support the general government relations strategy set by the president of KCTCS; and Provide other agreed-upon services as necessary.
