The awarded vendor will provide legal representation as conflicts counsel for former employees of the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology, including, but not limited to Jason Back in all aspects of state and federal legal matters, including but not limited to the below listed actions, until final judgment, including any appeals. Quoc Dinh v. Jason Back et al, 3:24-cv-00296-DJH-CHL; Tippi Nail Lounge and Quoc Dinh v Jason Back et al 24-CI-461; Tara Dizney, Kendra Arthur v. Jason Back et al, 6:24-cv-69-CHB-MAI; and Lawanna Brock, Beauty & Wellness Institute, Inc et al v. Jason Back et al, 24-CI-1066. The attorneys providing services must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and maintain any required licensures, certifications, or other credentials, for the term of the agreement. Applicants should also be familiar with the laws governing state government personnel. The successful applicant must conduct a thorough conflict of interest screening prior to performing any legal work for the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology. The Kentucky Board of Cosmetology reserves the right to determine whether any particular relationship constitutes a conflict of interest in any given legal matter.
