The contractor is required to be certified in Kentucky, or in the process of obtaining Kentucky certification, and must have reliable Internet, email, and telephone connections. The teacher will have a flexible schedule and can work from home or KET. Contractors should be committed to working through the 2014-15 school year. The following duties will be required: # Ensure that the courses are ready to be offered and make adjustments and updates to the curriculum as necessary. # Welcome students into the courses and set a positive tone throughout the courses. # Use or modify the conversation lessons to give students authentic opportunities for communication. # Set up regular times for the conversation lessons to take place and implement the lessons. Ideally, each student will have two 15-minute coaching sessions per week. Depending on the number of students, KET may provide tutors to help with grading and coaching. # Make appropriate use of KET resources to produce additional course materials and learning objects.
