Specifications include, but are not limited to: EVAPORATIVE FLUID COOLERS A. ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS: BAC, Marley, Evapco. (1) Furnish and install a factory-assembled, induced draft, counterflow closed circuit fluid cooler with vertical air discharge conforming in all aspects to the specifications and schedules as shown on B. CTI CERTIFICATION: The fluid cooler shall be CTI certified for the capacity scheduled. If submitted fluid cooler does not have CTI certification, then the capacity shall be guaranteed for total replacement of the fluid cooler. The guarantee shall include materials and labor. Also, if the fluid cooler is not CTI certified, a field test shall be conducted by an independent testing company. The field test shall be in accordance with CTI requirements. A CTI representative shall witness the field test. All costs for the field test and CTI witness shall be included in the proposal. C. STRUCTURE: The fluid cooler shall be constructed with a sturdy structural frame designed to transmit all wind, seismic and mechanical loads to the equipment anchorage. The frame shall be constructed of heavy gauge steel angles and channels. The structure shall be designed in accordance with the latest version of the International Building Code (IBC). D. CASING PANELS: The fluid cooler shall be constructed with FRP (13-20 oz.) or G235 galvanized steel casing panels and louvers. Casing panels shall totally encase the fill media and heat transfer coil from direct atmospheric contact.
