The Contractor will provide drug testing services for the Division of Mine Safety through the Agreement resulting from this solicitation and the scope of the required services under that Agreement shall be as follows: A. Drug Testing Testing is required in these areas: Pre-Certification Testing: All applicants for certification as new miners and all applicants for all other additional specialty certifications shall be subject to drug testing; Post-Accident Testing: Post accident testing will be performed following serious physical injuries or fatalities that occur at a mine site. In addition to the accident victim, post-accident testing will include any individual who may have contributed to the accident or injury; Disciplinary Testing: Testing will be performed as ordered by the Kentucky Mine Safety Review Commission pursuant to KRS 351.120. The timing and sequence of these tests will be set forth in the orders of the Mine Safety Review Commission. Employee Testing: Applicants in particular mine safety job classifications will be required to submit to a preemployment drug screening test. Additionally, current employees in particular mine safety job classifications must pass annual random drug screening tests for the length of employment.
