Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bowling Green selected Census Block Groups 103.3 and 103.4 for investment as part of the Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP). As part of the NIP, the City will be investing approximately $1.4M in a variety of public projects in the neighborhood. As part of the planning, the City set aside $600,000 for new housing opportunities to maximize the land and existing housing stock in Census Block Groups 103.3 and 103.4. The City desires to partner with an organization(s) that will develop, implement, administer, and manage successful projects on behalf of the City. The awarded organization (s) will have two years to complete the project(s) and expend all of the awarded funding. Interested organizations should prepare a detailed response to the questions below, and organizations are encouraged to include additional documentation to support their proposal. All projects should demonstrate long-term positive impacts to the neighborhood and create new housing opportunities. Organizations may partner together; however, one of the partnering organizations will have to serve as the lead organization and enter into an agreement with the City, if awarded.
