Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITEM 1 - CALIBRATION & CORRELATION OF SKID TESTING UNIT GENERAL: It is the intent of these specifications to describe the calibration and correlation of skid testing unit 060-0019 a 2013 Chevrolet 3500HD with Vehicle Identification Number 1GC5C083DZ298995. This is a service agreement and shall consist of the following: Calibration of a dual-sided skid systems and conduct the dynamic correlation with skid system using Reference Skid Measurement System for ASTM E274-15/E2793-16 with the ASTM E-501 tire. A full 3- speed departure will be performed on both sides for both the arrival and the departure correlations. Initial dynamic correlation of state skid measurement system with Area Reference Skid Measurement System on three uniform, controlled test surfaces designed and constructed for the purpose. This correlation is to be conducted at three speeds; 20, 40 and 60 MPH on each of the three test surfaces using the ASTM E501 tire on both the left and right wheels. Arrival dynamic correlation on both the left and right wheels of the skid measurement system with the TRC Skid System will be conducted at 40 miles per hour on three test surfaces following the ASTM test procedures using the ASTM E501 tire. KYTC will supply an operator and an assistant for their Skid System. Calibration and adjustment of the speed measurement sub-system to ASTM specifications. Calibration and adjustment of the on-board water delivery sub-system at the 20, 40, and 60 miles per hour speeds used for the correlations to ASTM specifications. KYTC will supply an operator for the skid system. Calibration of the tire pressure gage to ASTM specifications. Calibration and adjustment of the force measurement sub-system to ASTM specifications. Departure dynamic correlation on both the left and right wheel system of the skid measurement system with the TRC Skid System after all sub-systems have been adjusted and calibrated and will be conducted at 20, 40, and 60 miles per hour on three test surfaces following the ASTM test procedure using the ASTM E501 tire on both sides. KYTC will supply an operator and an assistant for their Skid System.
