Jefferson County Board of Education electrical contractor will be responsible for the final connection to the load center provided within the counter. • Delivery and Handling: Receive and inspect fabricated counter components upon delivery. Ensure all parts, materials, and accessories are accounted for and free from damage. • Storage: Properly store materials on-site to prevent damage during construction, and ensure all items are protected from environmental factors. 2. Serving Counter Assembly and Installation: • Fabrication Assembly: Assemble any modular or prefabricated sections of the serving counter on-site according to manufacturer instructions and shop drawings. • Countertop Installation: Securely install countertops (stainless steel, granite, laminate, etc.) with proper alignment and level adjustments. Hard seam counters together where applicable, install utility chases, and install toe kicks. • Sneeze Guards/Protective Barriers: Install sneeze guards or other protective barriers as required, ensuring they are securely mounted and meet height and placement specifications. 3. Plumbing Integration: Connect any required water supply and drainage lines (for refrigerated or wet sections) in compliance with plumbing codes and supply lex tube drain lines to drain location. • Adjustments: Make any necessary adjustments for proper function, ensuring all elements such as temperature control units, sinks, or food holding sections are installed and operational. 4. Final Alignment and Leveling: • Alignment: Ensure that all counter sections, equipment, and accessories are aligned properly, with no gaps, misalignments, or unevenness. • Leveling: Level and secure all parts of the serving counter to ensure a stable, professional finish. Use shims or adjustable legs as necessary to accommodate any uneven flooring or surface conditions. 5. Inspection and Testing: • Functional Testing: Test all integrated systems such as electrical, plumbing, and heating/cooling systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with project specifications. • Safety Check: Conduct a safety inspection to ensure all components are securely installed, and that the unit complies with local health and safety regulations. • Quality Control: Perform a final inspection to ensure the fabricated serving counter meets all design, functionality, and quality requirements outlined in the contract documents. 6. Final Cleaning and Site Cleanup: • Cleaning: Clean the installed serving counter and surrounding areas to remove any construction debris, dust, and packaging materials. • Final Touches: Ensure all surfaces are polished, and the serving counter is fully operational and ready for use.
