Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Commonwealth is requesting Bids to establish a Contract to supply all labor, materials, equipment and any related expenses to Paint Aircraft # N27723, a 1978 Piper PA 31 350 Chieftain with Colemill Panther conversion, in accordance with the following specifications and requirements: See ATTACHMENT A for Terms and Conditions and ATTACHMENTS B for required paint scheme photographs and ATTACHMENT C for Horse Head Insignia reference. The paint process includes: Inspecting aircraft for dents, corrosion, loose or missing rivets and overall repair. Inspecting primary/secondary control surfaces, Windows, De-Icing boots and Propellers. Removing the control surfaces and inspecting bearings/hinge points for excessive wear. SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 1) Aircraft will be chemically stripped using magnesium safe stripper. Vendor is to notify Ky Dept. of Aviation when Aircraft has been stripped. KYTC Dept of Aviation may elect to perform an onsite inspection. Vendor is not to proceed until written approval is obtained fron the KYTC Dept. of Aviation. 2) Aluminum surfaces will be etched and alodined. 3) Windows and other non-aluminum surfaces will be protected with aluminum barrier. 4) Flight controls will be removed as per Manufacturer's specifications
