Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor shall use white 20# bond, unless directed by ordering state agency. b. Contractor shall print specifications by duplex method (back to back, double-sided). c. When blank pages are inserted into the specification (i.e., to allow divisions and sections to start on a facing page) the Contractor may charge for this blank page image. d. Contractor shall collate and bind specification sets using black plastic binders. e. Contractor shall use colored 65# index/card stock material for front and back covers of specification sets. Color to be determined by state agency at time of order. f. Contractor shall utilize recycled paper material consisting of 20% (or more) post-consumer waste for 70% of total paper material consumed during the length of this contract. g. Specification sets generally require color pages for Document C and Division 22, 23, 26; these pages shall be provided at the same cost as white pages. Color to be determined by state agency at time of order. h. Specifications may require 11” x 17” oversized sheets to be folded and bound into sets. The Contractor may charge twice the cost of 8 1/2” x 11” pages. i. Contractor shall provide the specifications in PDF format on Flash drive. Specifications shall be on same Flash drive as the Digital Image set that the specification references, provided that there is available space on the Digital Image set Flash drive. Flash drive label shall indicate if specifications are on the Flash drive. If space is not available on the Digital Image set Flash drive, then specifications shall be put in PDF format on a separate Flash drive and labeled as the specifications Flash drive for Digital Image set (name of Digital Image set). DOCUMENT SCANNING a. General Requirements i. Contractor shall scan all monochrome images at 400 dpi; gray scale images at 400 dpi, 256 gray levels; and color images 400 dpi, 16M colors. Contractor shall use a higher dpi where required for poor quality original. ii. Contractor shall deskew and despeckle images, if required. iii. Contractor shall crop excess border from images. iv. Images shall be delivered in PDF formats as directed by requesting state agency. v. All monochrome images shall have white background with black foreground. vi. Contractor shall have the capabilities to scan sizes ranging from photographs to letter size for color images and sizes ranging from photographs to 42” wide documents for gray scale images. vii. Care shall be taken in scanning the documents, which will allow the raster image to appear oriented correctly when viewed. b. Deliverables i. The completed scanned images shall be delivered on Flash drive (if requested), with no more than one (1) project per Flash drive, unless otherwise directed. ii File Naming Conventions (1) All submitted files to be scanned and named as directed by requesting state agency. iii. Media Labeling Flash drives shall be labeled using a key tag or other type of tag/label. The following information shall be provided on the label: project number project name agency name
