Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected vendor shall provide personnel, management, parts, and supplies necessary to run an efficient and effective on-site parts operation that covers all hours worked by each facility, including overtime due to peak demand and emergency operations. All parts, (including tires and batteries) necessary to maintain, repair and operate fleet vehicles (to include automobile, light, medium and heavy trucks, heavy machinery and fire equipment), plus those items used by other departments that have been traditional stock items of the now existing parts room, will be covered by the resulting contract. However, the selected vendor shall utilize existing contracts for parts until those contracts end if they cannot provide the parts at a lower cost. Renewal options shall be evaluated by City staff for existing contracts, but extensions and new contracts will not be authorized if parts can be provided at a lower price through this contract. The City of Wichita Fleet Maintenance reserves the right to add or delete any items from this Agreement.
