Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCHEDULING AND EXECUTION OF WORK•The Contractor shall work with the City to schedule all works to be initiated and completed by the end of the term of the Contract. •The Contractor shall work with the City to establish a schedule that identifies the project itinerary that is mutually beneficial to both parties within the performance period.•The Contractor will try to maximize time inside of the City and limit the amount of mobilization required by working in a continuous fashion as much as possible. •Reasonable allowances for weather and other unforeseen circumstances will be made to ensure all works are completed in a reasonable time frame. WORK AND MATERIALS PROVIDED BY THE CITY•All notifications to the Public regarding delays, stoppages, etc. due to project works•Legal and physical access to manholes with project area•Necessary traffic controlon all City maintained streets•Exposure of buried manholes and seized manhole lids prior to mobilization•Any excavation, opening, backfilling, and/or repair of sewers and streets required to remove Contractor’s equipment caught in sewer pipe due to defects in pipe•Access to fire hydrants or water source of clean potable water at 200 gpm minimum•A location in the City to deposit debris removed from sewer cleaning•Access to shapefile data with manhole references for import into inspection softwareSEWER CLEANING SPECIFICATIONS•Sewers will be cleaned by removing grit, loose solids, and grease utilizing a Warthog or equivalent nozzle. The sewer will be cleaned to the extent that allows passage of the camera through the sewer main. This does not include the removal hard deposits such as minerals and cast-iron scale or excessive root infestation. (See Specialty Removal)•The cleaning equipment will be truck mounted combination water jet/vacuum unit(s).•Water jet performance of minimum of 65 gallons per minute at 2,000 PSI. •Prior to the sewer cleaning operation, the Cityand Contractor will agree on a sewer cleaning sequence. In general, the sewer cleaning process will proceed from the upper ends of each sewer basin to the lower ends. Final accepted cleaning for each pipe segment should meet the visibility standards of NASSCO’s Pipeline Assessment Certification Program where possible. •Sewers will be cleaned by introducing the water jet into the sewer line facing against the sewer flow and retrieving the water jet under pressure with the sewer flow. •Debris will be removed by debris catcher place in the downstream line and/or vacuum to prevent workers from entering manholes. The Contractor will collect and transport, to the site provided by the City, all debris removed during the sewer cleaning operation. •Specialty Removaland/or Cleaning shall constitute the removal of hard deposits, scale, large roots, or excessive grease. These areas of cleaning shall be especially noted and paid for under the Specialty removal pay item.
