Specifications include, but are not limited to: Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) is requesting information from possible providers for the collaboration of the 4 year old kindergarten program 4K Community Approach (4KCA) in the fall of 2019. A 4 year old is defined as being 4 years old on or before September 1, 2019. Providers must be willing to allow a KUSD teacher to work in their facility for 4 hours per day, four days each week, at the provider’s location, beginning August 26, 2019, and continuing through June 11, 2020. If the provider currently employs a DPI certified teacher, KUSD will consider hiring this individual, as a KUSD employee, for the 4K classroom. Awards may be given to numerous providers. • Provide a classroom with the state required square footage to house 13-20 children • Provide center staff to maintain the state required student-teacher ratio (providing an assistant when there are over 13 children in the classroom) • Provide materials for classroom use • Provide snacks and meals to those who participate in the classroom • Provide wrap-around care to meet the needs of the families • Provide internet access available to the teacher for the purpose of daily attendance and curriculum support • Support the implementation of the Creative Curriculum with the Early Education classroom • Support teacher staff development and classroom preparation on Friday mornings. • Attend Director meetings • Inform KUSD of any changes in licensing status within five (5) business days of the occurrence • Inform KUSD of any changes with the insurance policy covering the program within five (5) business days of the occurrence
