Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Behavioral Health Services, announces the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an entity (ies) to provide facilitative training and technical assistance to community coalitions, community initiatives, and KDADS projects that may be focused on one or more behavioral health concerns (substance abuse prevention, problem gambling awareness and prevention, suicide prevention, mental health promotion, and consumer outreach and advocacy), on a statewide basis. KDADS invites applications from government agencies, public universities and colleges, non-profit organizations or not for profit and community agencies who are interested in being a strategic partner. Partners should be adaptable, an advocate for change, outcomes focused and accountable, willing to engage in progressive thinking and be committed to continuous capacity building to achieve community-level change for substance abuse prevention, problem gambling awareness and prevention, suicide prevention, mental health promotion, and consumer outreach and advocacy. KDADS highly encourages cross system/multi partner collaborations of both large and small providers when responding to this RFP.
