Project 589-26-472 Upgrade Pharmacy and Pharmacy Compounding Suite HVAC This is a Sources Sought request, looking for eligible vendors to respond to the following: Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is asking for responsible vendors to provide a capabilities statement, limited to 10 pages or under, to meet the attached statement of work for design of Project 589-26-472 Upgrade Pharmacy and Pharmacy Compounding Suite HVAC at the Kansas City VAMC, Kansas City MO. Please note that this is NOT a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15, is conducting a market survey for qualified: Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), capable of providing the required services outlined below for the Kansas City VA Medical Center located in Kansas City, Missouri. This procurement is a SDVOSB total set aside and it will be solicited under NAICS Code: 541330- Engineering Services, with a size standard of $25.5 Million. General Statement: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires Architectural and Engineering (A/E) services to produce stand-alone Construction Documents, Reports, and Specifications for Project: 589-26-472 Upgrade Pharmacy and Pharmacy Compounding located at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. This project will provide a dedicated AHU for the inpatient & outpatient pharmacy suite, repair floors ceiling grid, provide a dedicated AHU and exhaust for the Pharmacy compounding suite, and provide a temporary AHU during construction for continued pharmacy operations. Pharmacy and Pharmacy Compounding Suite are in Valor Building (Bldg. 26) on the second floor. It is approximately 5,500 SF. Drawings showing the primary area of work on the 2nd floor(HVAC and Pharmacy), first floor and in the basement (HVAC) are included. The design team is expected to be knowledgeable about current Pharmacy regulations that the VA is required to follow and the current officially approved USP797/USP800. In addition, VA current requirements from the Technical Information Library related to Pharmacy and HVAC design must be followed. The construction magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Design Services: A/E services are required for preparation of Existing Condition Narrative/Studies, Phasing Design, Schematic Designs including options, Design Development, Construction Drawings (to include infection prevention and construction barriers through drawings and specifications), Specifications, Calculations, Commissioning, and As-Built Documents. Included in the scope of the A/E design services is to determine optimal phasing for the work and providing phasing documents. Professional disciplines will include but are not limited to Architectural, Interior Design, Structural, Sanitary, Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical, Fire Detection and Protection, Steam, Telecommunications, Medical Gas, Automatic Door, Announcement System, Security, Third Party Commissioning, Environmental Safety and Health, Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Abatement, and Cost Estimating for this project.
