Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following details the services to be provided to the City of Roeland Park in the area of information services: 1. Website Design and Hosting– To include professional design and hosting of the municipal website. a. Website must provide an interface that will translate well on the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari. b. Lead the City through the implementation of a content management system and search utility. City staff will have full back office access and discretion to edit content, including, but not limited to, text, images and documents. c. Must include an RSS feed for social media. d. Must include interface options that accommodate individuals with disabilities in accordance with ADA. See rules and an example at www.ada.gov/websites2_prnt.pdf. e. The website host must have adequate redundant equipment to ensure continual operation. Technical support must be included in the contract for one year. f. The website must be hosted off-site through an outside hosting solution. g. The website design should be modern but simple enough to allow for the quickest loading possible. Website design needs to be responsive to mobile platforms.
