Specifications include, but are not limited to: Weekly Mowing: • Bid per mow assume 30 mows/year (28 mows/year is average) mow at a height, no lower than 4 inches. • String trim areas not accessible by the mower. • Monitor the season and when the grass growth slows reduce mowing. • This area is typically irrigated, repair all sprinkler heads that are damaged due to mowing. • Google Maps are available upon request in order to define properties and boundaries. Landscape Bed Weed Control: • Bid all properties for landscape bed weed control, rock and mulch beds in the district. • Monitor and treat weekly, spray or pull weeds when visible. Outer Area Mowing: • Bid per mow assume 25 Mows/year, 20 mows/year is average. • String trim areas not accessible by the mower. • Monitor the season and when the grass growth slows reduce mowing. This area is typically not irrigated. • Google Maps are available upon request in order to define properties and boundaries. Fertilizer/Weed Control Program: • Early Spring (March/April) Pre-Emergent Fertilizer/weed control (i.e., Barricade or Dimension) • Late spring (September) Fertilize, use herbicides for weed control • Fall (October/November) Weed control/ winterize fertilizer. • Program currently only includes main areas that are irrigated (Pleasant Hill, Seaman Education Center, and Indian Creek are not typical). • Weed control definition: to include anything that isn’t typical grass planting for the property (i.e., grasses, sedges, broadleaves, vines, etc.) Pruning Spring/Fall Cleanup: • Prune in spring and late winter, trim shrubs, bushes, low tree limbs, native grasses, remove fallen leaves, cut down perennials, to maintain aesthetic appearance. • Spring to be completed no later than May 1. • Fall clean up no earlier than November 1.
