Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lawn mowing, edging, and care: Mowing services shall also include trimming, edging of the sidewalks, spot re- seeding as required and trimming of the shrubs as needed, keeping rock beds and cracks in sidewalks free of weeds. Treat trees for bores at the optimum time annually.; Grass will be mowed and trimmed in such a manner as to maintain all property in a neat attractive manner. All parts of the grounds will be mowed at the same time. Bagging is not required.; 1.) Lawn mowing area is 7,830 square feet. Frequency shall be upon request.; 2.) Edging shall be established at the pre-bid conference. Frequency shall be upon request.; 3.) Application of fertilizer shall be for an area of 7,830 square feet. Frequency shall be upon request.; 4.) Application of insecticide / weed killer shall be for an area of 7,830 square feet as well as sidewalks as needed. Frequency shall be upon request.; 5.) Re-seeding shall be for an area of 7,830 square feet. Frequency shall be upon request.; 6.) The state reserves the right to inspect the equipment to be used and to make strict inquiry as to the capabilities of the contractor and to make an award in the best interest of the state. Bidders will be expected to show that they have sufficient large or powerful equipment with adequate back-up devices in case of breakdown so that service can be completed in a timely manner depending on growth height and thickness. Equipment to be maintained in such a manner as to ensure the health and appearance of the lawn, i.e., sharp blades to prevent “shredding” of grass blades.; 7.) The successful bidder shall furnish a copy of the State of Kansas Applicators License Number: 5101.; Snow Removal: 1.) Snow removal area is 21,586 square feet. Frequency shall be upon request.; 2.) Failure to provide service within 8 hours of a request will result with the Kansas Highway Patrol outsourcing to a third party and the contracted vendor paying the difference from the contracted price vs. the third party price.; 3.)
