Kansas Adjutant Generals Office seek bids for Tree Removal on the Smoky Hill ANG Range in Salina, Kansas. The work shall consist of cutting trees, spraying stumps, and combining them into brush piles. Project area is approximately 640 acres. The site of the work is located at Smoky Hill ANG Range, approximately 15 miles southwest of Salina, Kansas. Smoky Hill ANG Range is an active bombing Range. The contractor must check-in with Range Operations every day before starting work and be available throughout the day, via cell phone or issued two-way radio, to ensure safety clearance from flying activities. All trees up to 12-inch diameter at breast height (48"), that can be reasonable accessed, will be cut. Trees must be cut at ground level. Immediately after cutting, the cut stumps must be treated with an approved herbicide, applied according to the herbicide label, to control the resprouting of the tree. Piles located near the boundary of the Range must be at least 100 feet from the fence line.
