4.4.1. Substance Use Disorder - Care Coordinator: Guided by contemporary public safety and health best practices, the Care Coordinator will develop, facilitate, and manage a program connecting individuals with substance use disorders to services through Mirror, Inc. Responsibilities include: • Developing and facilitating a program and procedure for individuals with substance use disorders to access services with Mirror, Inc. • Creating training for KHP personnel and other first responders on the program’s capabilities and value. • Building relationships with Non-Governmental Organizations, entities, and agencies (e.g., Kansas Narcotics Officers’ Association, Kansas Sheriff’s Association, Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police) that interact with potential program beneficiaries. • Assisting KHP personnel in interacting with those who appear to be suitable candidates based on need and desire for help. • Responding to locations in the Troop B region to meet potentially suitable candidates. • Developing and maintaining harmonious relationships with Mirror, Inc., the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and other relevant stakeholders. • Working with Mirror, Inc. to develop a system for tracking success, defining what success looks like, and reporting outcomes to Troop N leadership and Chief of Staff Murl Riedel monthly for grant reporting to the Sunflower Foundation
