Specifications include, but are not limited to: This contract is established to furnish seasonal snow/ice removal for the Kansas Department for Children and Families, Disability Determination Services, located at 2820 SW Fairlawn Rd., Topeka, KS, to include the parking lot, sidewalks, and ramps of the property.; Services shall be on an as needed basis; therefore, the Contractor shall submit pricing per event/per occasion. For the purposes of this contract, this shall be defined as fixed pricing per snow event based on the number of inches of snowfall for a single storm (2"-4", 4"-6", 6'-8", more than 8").; 1. Snow shall push only to a location(s) as predetermined by an agency representative.; 2. All plowing shall be completed by no later than 6:30 a.m. of the first business day after a snowfall.: a) i.e., if the snowfall happens overnight during the week, it needs to be cleared before 6:30 AM when staff begins arriving. If it happens on the weekend, it needs to be cleared before 6:30 AM on Monday unless Monday is a holiday; b) In the event of a heavy storm, the Contractor may need to return during the day at the agency's discretion in order to clear driveways/aisles.; 3. In the event that snowfall is less than two (2”) inches, no service shall be performed without approval from an agency representative.; 4. Ice treatment is required any time the agency deems that weather conditions have resulted in hazardous conditions.: a) Pre-treatment services shall be utilized at the agency’s discretion, only upon request from an authorized DDS representative.; 5. The Contractor will be responsible for any damage to persons or property caused by their workforce or equipment. The Contractor will be responsible for all costs associated with the repair of damaged property and must restore all property to its original condition prior to the damage being incurred.; 6. Contractor's employees shall conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Contractor shall provide adequate supervision at all times. Personnel performing work under this contract shall be fully qualified and trained to do so.; 7. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, permits and applicable certifications required by federal, state, and local laws that are necessary for the legal operation of the Contractor's business and performance of work required.; 8. Contractor's equipment shall be maintained to operate in a safe and efficient manner. Operators shall use all personal safety apparel required by law or practice. Every precaution shall be taken to perform the work required by this contract without bringing danger to agency employees, their personal property and the property of the agency. Work performance shall not violate any statute, law, regulation, or ordinance, be it federal, state, or local.
