Specifications include, but are not limited to:This contract shall be for the provision of Security Services, per the following specifications, for the following buildings in Topeka: 555 S Kansas Ave, 500 Southwest Van Buren Street, 503 S Kansas Ave, and 612 S Kansas Ave. Security guards are often the first and last person customers see, it's important that they dress in a professional manner. Having a neat, clean, and professional image goes a long way to deterring problems and criminal acts. Additionally while in our facilities the security guards are a reflection of DCF, KDADS and the State of Kansas. We are requiring security guards to be dressed in a traditional security uniforms that are similar to law enforcement uniforms. A picture of your guards in full attire and written description will be required when submitting bid information. The written description needs to include your full dress code policy. The picture needs to include a top to bottom view of the guard as he/she would appear on duty. Please provide an address of at least 2 locations near the Topeka Kansas area where your security services are currently provided. DCF reserves the right to visually inspect these locations unannounced during this RFP process. No contact will be made with any staff, as the visit will only be ascertain the professionalism of the security staff. Also, please provide a list of all training that a typical guard receives, to include a detailed explanation of each the training listed. 5.1 Background/HistoryAs DCF offices move to a new location, it has been determined that security services are needed for the entire footprint of operations, not just one specific building.
