The Board of County Commissioners of the County of Shawnee, Kansas (the “County”) is seeking a highly qualified individual or firm who has successfully provided professional state and federal lobbying services. The lobbyist will assist the County in identifying current legislative issues impacting the County and will advocate on behalf of the County’s interests with the Kansas Legislature and the United States Congress, pertinent state and federal offices and agencies, relevant interest groups, funding sources at the state and federal level, coalitions and associations. The lobbyist will develop and implement effective lobbying strategies and keep the County informed of such efforts. Travel to Washington D.C. may be required.
