The Kansas Neurological Institute is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors for 24/7 Physician Services; federal regulations stipulate that Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) must ensure physician services are available twenty-four (24) hours a day. Physicians, in collaboration with licensed nursing personnel, are responsible for creating medical care plans for individuals requiring 24-hour licensed nursing care. Licensure/Certification: Contractor agrees to • Notify KNI in writing if a staff member becomes the subject of certain actions (e.g., investigation or complaint by the state licensing board). • Provide any change in home or office address and/or phone number provided. • Participate in a credentialing process. • Provide KNI written Proof of Malpractice Insurance coverage for services provided under this agreement specifically noting coverage of medical/nursing services provided on or off campus.
