1. Annual inspection of fire sprinklers (wet, dry, and pre-action systems): a. Test all hydrostatic standpipes b. conduct main drain flow tests c. alarm device tests d. partial (dry) trip testing of dry and pre-action systems e. visual inspections as per NFPA 25 to verify there is no physical damage i. corrosion ii. leakage iii. obstruction of spray pattern f. Inspect backflow devices. g. Conduct full-trip and air tests on pre-action and dry systems h. Examine the interior of the following four points of fire sprinkler system: i. System Valve ii. Cross Main iii. Riser iv. Branch Line Note: Examination may require disassembly of the sprinkler system at one or more of these four points. A bore scope may be used for part of the inspection. 2. Digital pictures will be taken where possible to further document the findings. 3. A written report along with a copy of the pictures taken will be provided to the agency. 4. If anything is found that would indicate a possible obstruction, further investigation may be required to determine the extent and/or the source of the problem (additional charge). 5. All work performed shall be completed in compliance with applicable State, Federal and local codes to included NFPA code standards.
