Fluid milk shall be manufactured and packaged as defined in the state regulations governing the production and sale of milk and milk products as published by the State Department of Agriculture. • Milk shall be Grade A, pasteurized, homogenized, and vitamin fortified. • ½ pint cartons or ½ pint plastic – packaging must be easy to open and each container must be code dated or dated at time of packaging. All alternative containers must be declared by Proposer within response. • Code date must not be less than eight(8) days from the date of delivery • Required: Unflavored – White and Flavored - Chocolate and Strawberry – Proposer can indicate if additional flavors are available • Skim or 1% milk in unflavored and flavored. Proposer must indicate fat level within Attachment C. • Flavored milk – whether it is skim or 1% - can contain no more than 10 grams of added sugar per 8 fluid ounces • Fluid Milk shall be delivered at a temperature of 40o F or less. Any milk delivered above 40o F may be rejected.
