to lease approximately 125 acres (more or less) of City-owned land. This includes approximately 114.8 tillable acres (more or less) of land for agricultural purposes in the vicinity of the north bank of the Kansas River. It is specifically agreed that the tract of land leased and described by this property shall be limited to agricultural use and purposes only, with wheat, corn, or soybeans being the only allowable crops. This area is subject to noxious weeds, in particular Johnson Grass, which has a history of being prevalent. Lessee shall control all noxious weeds in an expeditious manner. Lessee shall consult with the Shawnee County Noxious Weed Department and utilize prescribed control methods at recommended rates, times, and intervals. Lessee shall be responsible for maintaining the entire property, whether in crops or not in crops. Lessee agrees to maintain property in compliance with the City’s Environmental Code Services nuisance and weed codes. Furthermore, Lessee fully understands that the subject property is located within a flood-prone area and is subject to crop loss.
