Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified bidders to service rest area vending machines. The following types of services are required of the Contractor: Stocking merchandise: Stocking of merchandise in the machines is required as needed to maintain quantity and quality of products. Contractor shall monitor freshness of food products and discard any expired merchandise (at no additional cost to the BEP). Maintenance of equipment: Machines are to be cleaned and kept free of debris and snow, as needed. Repair of equipment: Machines are to be kept in good working condition. Contractor shall, at the Contractor’s sole expense, service and repair all equipment within twenty-four (24) hours of notification of need of service. Customer service: Contractor shall maintain good customer relations with the public, rest area management staff, KDOT and BEP and the KVF Manager. The KVF Manager shall be the primary contact for the Contractor and KDOT. The BEP Administrator shall be the secondary point of contact for any contract matter. BEP shall designate the primary and secondary contact in writing at the time of contract award or renewal. Contractor shall establish a refund policy providing for the return of lost money for non-vended items to the consumer within 15 calendar days of notice from consumer. Drop boxes for such notice are currently attached to each vending structure.
