4.3. Hay will be cut between June 25 – July 20th only. Cutting after the July 20th date will need approval from the Park Manager. 4.4. Only one cutting will be permitted per year. Contractor is responsible for all cost in swathing, baling, and removal of hay. 4.5. Payment of KDWP-Milford State Park share shall be a Cash payment. 4.6. Payments for the hay must be arranged prior to the removal of any hay from the area. Contact the Park Manager prior to removing any hay. 4.7. All bales must be removed from Department property within two (2) weeks after baling or no later than August 5 th . 4.8. Approximate acreage of combined tracts is 176 Acres more or less. Acreage figures quoted are approximately acres of grass to be cut. 4.9. Before any phase of farming operation can begin, park staff must be notified (i.e.: plowing, discing, planting, and harvesting). 4.10. Contractor is responsible for all the cost of the farming operation, which includes mechanical and chemical weed control. 4.11. Any chemical applied must be approved by KDWP’s Agriculture Chemicals Use Policy. 4.12. Sub-permitting of Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks agricultural land is strictly prohibited. 4.13. All gates are to be kept always closed. 4.14. No agricultural equipment will be left unattended on state property for more than 14 days without written approval from the Park Manager.
