The Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to competitively award, under a Total Small Business Set-Aside, a new Firm Fixed Price (FFP), contract for Museum Fabrication & Installation services at the 1st Infantry Division Museum in Fort Riley, Kansas. This effort is in support of the Army Museum Enterprise (AME) mission to collect, preserve, interpret, and display historical military material, culture, and artifacts. The award will consist of a 12-month base period. The 1st Infantry Division Museum is housed in one of the oldest buildings on an Army installation and contains several American and foreign military vehicles and artillery pieces from World Wars I and II, the Cold War, and Operation DESERT STORM. The need for this requirement is the result of the museum building undergoing a complete renovation to upgrade its systems to meet current museum standards and Americans with Disability Act requirements. The services will include preparing shop drawings, fabricating all exhibit components, packing, shipping and installation of historic objects into those components, and performing the final focusing of lighting in accordance with the National Park Service. The museum is divided into two floors, which includes a total 12 areas of museum exhibits and artifacts.
