The selected vendor shall provide and manage firearm detection software that: a. Firearm Detection & Alerting Detects and alerts designated building personnel and first responders regarding the presence of visible, unholstered firearms on public school property during school operating hours. b. SAFETY Act Designation Is fully designated as qualified antiterrorism technology under the federal SAFETY Act (6 U.S.C. § 441 et seq.). c. Security System Integration Integrates with the existing security camera infrastructure of Kansas public school buildings. d. Monitored Operations Center Is directly managed by the vendor through a monitored operations center staffed by highly trained analysts who rapidly assess threats and communicate with law enforcement and school personnel during school operating hours. e. U.S. Development and Data Use Is developed entirely within the United States and does not use third-party, public, or open-source data in any capacity.
