Preparation & Equipment Handling o Remove all tools and loose equipment from the affected areas and place them on tarps in the designated area adjacent to the workshop. o Hospital maintenance staff will clean, organize, and dispose of equipment as needed. o Hospital will provide dumpsters for disposal of items deemed irreparably damaged. 2. Cleaning & Restoration o Clean and restore all floors, walls, windows, fixtures, and built-in shelving. o Use HEPA-filtered vacuums and approved fire restoration chemicals for soot and smoke removal. o Remove and properly dispose of fire debris, including remains of a workbench destroyed in the fire. o Clean and seal or coat fiberglass ceiling tiles (rigid fiberglass with paper/laminate finish, originally painted) to ensure safety and restore appearance. 3. Compliance Requirements o Work must meet State Fire Marshal guidelines and comply with infection control standards. o Contractor must coordinate with hospital staff and safety personnel to minimize operational disruptions during the project. 4. Completion Requirements o At project closeout, the shop and restroom areas must be fully cleaned, restored, and safe for staff reoccupancy. o Contractor shall provide documentation confirming compliance with fire safety and infection control standards.
