Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Topeka desires to provide an EAP program for employees and their family members that includes services and resources for a balanced life. Services should include: • Education on mental and emotional well-being, family issues, parenting issues, substance prevention/education, personal development, stress management, legal, financial, and management and professional career development. • Encourage early intervention by providing training for managers and supervisors on mental health recognition and availability of professional services. • Provide assistance to the City of Topeka employees and members of their families through individual interview and/or up to six (6) counseling sessions. This is to include a 24-hour telephone access to behavior health clinicians. Determine the appropriate resource(s) to assist the employee and/or family member and coordinate the referral. Consideration should be given to the need, location, cost and available resources. If fees are associated with the referral, the employee and/or family member will be responsible for the payment of all costs and fees of services rendered to them.
