1. Removal of dead animals from roadway, easement, or culvert at the request of Sedgwick County Animal Control. 2. Contractor should have an e-mail or texting option so Animal Control Officers can leave documentable messages as to the location of dead for pick up. 3. Pick up will only be paid if a documented request has been made 4. Vendor should have a large bed truck or trailer with the ability to remove dead up to 500 lbs. 5. Average size of deer removed from ditches and roadways are 150 lbs-300 lbs. 6. Requests may be made for removal of small or large animals on a case by case basis. These may include but are not limited to large dogs, hogs, small calves, or various other livestock. 7. Once a documented request has been sent the vendor shall have 48 hours to pick up the dead animal indicated. 8. If the vendor is taking a personal trip or vacation and will not be available to fulfill the contract, it shall be the responsibility of the vendor to inform Sedgwick County Animal Control as to the duration and dates of their absence so Sedgwick County Animal Control may attempt to make other arrangements for large deceased animal pick up
