Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Comms units must have a noise cancelling, ambidextrous boom microphone with dual windscreen protection. This will allow both left and right handed shooters to properly mount their weapon. • Comms units must have a removable, inter-changeable over the head stainless steel frame with a rubber cover that can be removed, freeing the ear cup to ear cup cable. Units need to also come with an ARC-Rail helmet mount kit that would allow the user to mount to current ESU helmets and adjust for personal fit and comfort while allowing the user to pop them off of the ear to allow for air flow over the ears. • Each unit must have gel ear cup seals and shielded circuity and wiring to prevent cross-talk and RF/EMI interference. Comms units shall have a downlead cable and headset wiring configuration designed to eliminate any cross talk issues. Units shall also be made to eliminate any TX/RX noise associated the new digital radios in use. • Comms units shall have an advanced voice-guided equalizer so the user can customize it to their personal optimized audio. • Comms units shall have ambient microphones built in to enhance directional noise awareness and help the user with situational awareness. • Comms units shall to have a cable connector that will connect to both a single comm and dual comm push to talk and operate properly with either one. • Shall be Green in color.
