Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The selected candidate / organization must be certified as a School Psychologist through the State of Iowa, which includes graduation from a NASP approved program. 2) Assist in the identification of needs regarding behavioral, social, emotional, educational and vocational functioning of individuals. 3) Analyze and integrate information about behavior and conditions affecting learning. 4) Consult with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions. 5) Provide direct services through counseling with parents, individuals and families. 6) Conduct applied research related to psychological and educational variables affecting learning. 7) Operate within a transdisciplinary service delivery model. 8) Keep current with issues, techniques and future trends in the field of school psychology. 9) Attending staffing and team meetings to develop appropriate interventions. 10) Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations.
