Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1 Background - The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for Rebuild Fairbanks Morse Pump for the Water Pollution Control Facility, 7525 Bertram Rd SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403. 4.2 Scope of Work 4.2.1 The Fairbanks Morse pump ERP pump serial# 227653 506149 needs a full rebuild including parts, labor, and shipping to and from the Water Pollution Control Facility, 7525 Bertram Rd SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. 4.2.2 The pump was operational when pulled from service. 4.2.3 Attachment D will have pump pictures. 4.3 Furnish and Install Requirements These Specifications may describe the various functions and types of work required to install the equipment purchased in conjunction with this Request for Bid. Any technical omissions of functions or types of work within these specifications but obviously necessary for the proper completion of the work shall not relieve the Contractor from furnishing, installing or performing such work where required to the satisfactory completion of the project. The Contractor shall include all costs associated with installation in its bid price and shall not identify installation costs as a separate item unless specifically allowed on the Bid Submittal Form. 4.4 Warranty – Work The Contractor shall perform Work for the City pertaining to the Project as set forth in the Contract. Contractor represents that the Work and all of its components shall be free of defects caused by negligence; shall be performed in a manner consistent with other Contractors in a similar industry and application; and shall conform to the requirements of the Contract. Contractor shall be responsible for the quality, technical accuracy, completeness and coordination of all Work done under the Contract. Contractor shall, promptly and without charge, provide all corrective Work necessary as a result of Contractor’s negligent acts, errors, or omissions with respect to the quality and accuracy of the Work. Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damages to property or persons as a result of Contractor’s negligent acts, errors, or omissions, and for any losses or costs to repair or remedy any Work undertaken by City based upon the Work as a result of any such negligent acts, errors, or omissions. Contractor’s obligations shall exist without regard to, and shall not be construed to be waived by, the availability or unavailability of any insurance, either of City or Contractor.
